Your Role: Controls & Robotics Engineer


As a Controls & Robotics Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and improving automation and robotic systems. Your work will range from enhancing existing platforms to creating new solutions from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement control systems for robotics and automation solutions
  • Program and integrate robotics systems, including motion control and machine logic
  • Contribute to the development of reusable automation “building blocks” for future projects
  • Evaluate new technologies and recommend system improvements
  • Specify, select, and implement hardware and software tools
  • Support system integration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across mechanical, electrical, and software domains
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and processes

Qualifications


Education & Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Strong foundation in industrial automation and robotics systems Technical Skills
  • Experience designing electrical and control systems
  • Programming proficiency in:
  • Python
  • C++
  • ROS
  • Qt
  • PLC programming (Ladder Logic) and HMI development
  • Knowledge of:
  • Communication protocols (RS-232, TTL, CAN, Ethernet/IP)
  • Linux environments and computer networking
  • Object-oriented programming and multithreading
  • Experience with:
  • Robotics vision systems, SLAM/LiDAR, and localization
  • Motion systems (servo drives, stepper systems)
  • Data logging and performance analysis (e.g., OEE)
  • AutoCAD or electrical design tools
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and electrical system support

  • Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams
