Industrial Robotics Engineer (Remote, Full-Time)
Join technology-driven teams deploying and supporting production-grade industrial robotics systems across smart factory environments. You will work remotely with plant teams and integrators to deliver reliable, safe, and high-throughput robotic automation.
About The Role
You will design, program, and support industrial robotic automation solutions for production environments, covering robot cell development, PLC/HMI integration, machine vision alignment, safety validation, and commissioning planning. You will drive troubleshooting, performance tuning, preventive maintenance strategy, and documentation to meet throughput, quality, and uptime targets.
Key Responsibilities
-
Own robot programming and optimization (path planning, cycle-time reduction, recovery routines)
-
Integrate robots with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and industrial networks (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET)
-
Support commissioning and remote troubleshooting using logs, structured diagnostics, and backups
-
Coordinate safety implementation (risk assessments, safety-rated I/O, guarding, interlocks)
-
Validate vision-guided robotics (calibration, lighting, localization concepts)
-
Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, backups, and training materials
-
Deliver continuous improvement tied to OEE, quality, and downtime reduction
Required Qualifications
-
Mid-Senior experience in industrial robotics, controls, or automation engineering
-
Hands-on robot programming on FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa, or Universal Robots (or equivalent)
-
Strong PLC/controls fundamentals and troubleshooting ability in production environments
-
Comfort working remotely with clear written communication and change control
Preferred Qualifications
-
ROS/ROS2, simulation/digital twins, or offline programming exposure
-
Safety validation workflow experience (risk assessment, safety PLC concepts)
-
Industrial data acquisition familiarity (OPC UA, MQTT, historian concepts)
Compensation
Competitive hourly base pay:
$30–$50 per hour
(USD), depending on experience and scope.
