Job Description

Rex.zone is hiring a remote, full-time Industrial Robotics Engineer to design, integrate, and support industrial robot cells for manufacturing automation programs aligned with Guadalajara robotics initiatives while remaining categorized under US job metadata.

About The Role

You will own robot programming and integration work across PLC/I-O coordination, safety compliance, commissioning support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering, quality, and operations teams to improve uptime, reduce defects, and optimize cycle time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own industrial robot programming changes for production and pre-production
  • Support PLC integration, interlocks, and I/O validation; coordinate HMI-related workflows
  • Debug automation faults using root cause analysis and structured troubleshooting
  • Tune motion profiles for cycle-time reduction and repeatability
  • Coordinate robot cell integration including EOAT, conveyors, sensors, and safety devices
  • Validate safety circuits and safe operating procedures (light curtains, interlocks, E-stops)
  • Maintain version-controlled backups, change logs, and commissioning checklists
  • Create and enforce standards for robot programs, naming conventions, and documentation

Required Qualifications

  • Mid-senior experience in industrial robotics or automation engineering
  • Hands-on exposure to robot programming and robot cell integration
  • Familiarity with PLC concepts, I/O, fieldbus basics, and HMI workflows
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across sensors, actuators, and motion systems
  • Ability to write clear technical documentation and execute test plans

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with FANUC, ABB (RobotStudio), or KUKA (KRL)
  • Exposure to vision systems for guidance, inspection, or part location
  • EOAT/tooling integration (grippers, interfaces) and commissioning/ramp support
  • Familiarity with change control, traceability, and continuous improvement methods
