Job Description
Candidate should have very good experience in Physical design activities of block and SoC level. Should be well experienced in floor-planning, partitioning, placement, clock tree synthesis, route , physical verification and all signoff checks closure.
Experience with tools such as Innovus/Encounter, ICC, Caliber, LEC, Primetime etc is highly desirable. Full chip tape out experience based on 5nm/7nm/16nm technologies is preferred.
Candidate would be required to work on various phases of SOC physical design activities of top level & block level – floor-planning, partitioning, placement, clock tree synthesis, route, physical verification (LVS/DRC/ERC/Antenna etc).
Should have excellent problem solving skill to help through congestion resolution and timing closure. Candidate should be able to meet congestion, timing and area metrics of design. Would be required to do equivalence checks, STA, Crosstalk delay analysis ,noise analysis, power optimization. Should be able to implement timing and functional ECOs.
In this role, the Engineer will apply Broadcom's proven design methodology and milestone flow to meet Broadcom's rigorous criteria for achieving Right-first time silicon.
Candidate should be able to work independently and guide other team members. Should be experienced in working in a global team and dynamic environment.
Should possess ability to learn and adapt to new tools and methodologies. Excellent communication skill is a must.
Senior Embedded Software Engineer

We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
