The Network Switch Group at Broadcom has brought some of the most complex and cutting-edge networking ASIC's and multichip solutions to market over the last decade. The group develops ASIC's for L2/L3 switch routing. These products support the latest networking protocols and features as well as manage extremely large volumes of traffic of the order of several Terabits/sec. These networking ASIC's support a large number of ports ranging from 10/100Mb/s to 800Gb/s speeds as well as various line interfaces and protocols and Flexible Packet Processing
Job Responsibility
The successful candidate will be responsible for various key tasks in the areas of uArch and RTL design of cutting-edge network switch/routing Datapath designs. The day-to-day tasks for this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Defining in the microarchitecture and implementing design of datapath for L2/L3 Network Switching and routing ASICs and various subsystems within these chips.
- Cooperating with other design teams on the microarchitecture definition and reviewing other Switch functions.
- Planning Physical implementation of data-path blocks and working on initial floor plan.
- Develop Verilog RTL. logic synthesis, physical implementation constraints, static timing analysis.

Work directly with the physical implementation team from initial floor planning to final timing closure.
The successful candidate will satisfy the following requirements:
- MSEE +10 years or BSEE + 12 years or equivalent, with concentration in digital design and excellent academic standing.
- Must have in-depth knowledge of IC technology, ASIC design flows, EDA tools and Physical design considerations.
- Thorough knowledge of high-speed Ethernet networking and CPU I/O bus technologies.
- Excellent knowledge of SystemVerilog. Deep experience with simulators and waveform debugging tools
- Strong knowledge of Perl, Python, or other scripting languages.

Compensation And Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $141,000 - $225,000
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.

Senior Embedded Software Engineer

What we're looking for
At embedd.it, we power hardware-software integration in embedded devices. We turn fragmented semiconductor chip data into configurable digital twins, then deterministically generate code, tests, and documentation – making integration faster, cheaper, and resilient to supply chain shocks.
We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
