About The Role
Rex.zone is hiring a Healthcare Robotics Engineer to design, integrate, and validate medical robotic systems used in hospitals and clinical workflows. You will work across perception, planning, control, embedded integration, and rigorous verification & validation to deliver reliable, safety-minded robotics software.
What You Will Do

Design and implement robotics features for assistive robotics, rehabilitation robotics, and hospital automation

Develop ROS/ROS2 nodes, interfaces, and system integration across sensors, actuators, and compute

Build perception pipelines using computer vision, depth sensing, and sensor fusion

Implement motion planning, path planning, SLAM/localization, and control algorithms for safe navigation/manipulation

Create test strategies including simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and automated regression tests

Support verification & validation, including requirements traceability and test evidence
-
Contribute to safety engineering practices such as risk analysis, hazard mitigation, and fail-safe behaviors
Required Qualifications

Mid-Senior experience in robotics engineering or autonomous systems

Strong C++ and Python skills with production engineering practices

Hands-on ROS/ROS2 and robotics system integration experience

Experience with computer vision, sensor fusion, SLAM, or localization

Ability to write testable code and build automated test suites
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in regulated environments (e.g., medical robotics)

Knowledge of FDA design controls, ISO-aligned documentation, or risk management

Simulation tooling (e.g., Gazebo/Ignition) and HIL workflows

Compensation
Competitive hourly rate:
$30–$50/hour
(based on experience and scope).
