Role Description
The Hardware Engineer will design, develop, and validate electronic hardware that supports Powai Labs’ EDA and processor technology solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and reviewing circuit schematics, selecting components, performing simulations, and supporting prototyping and board bring-up for FPGA, ASIC, and system-level designs. The role involves collaborating with software, verification, and product teams to integrate hardware with tools and platforms, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance and reliability. The Hardware Engineer will also contribute to documentation, test plans, and continuous improvement of design workflows aligned with customer and product needs. This is a full-time, on-site role based in our office located in IIT Bombay Research Park Powai
Qualifications

Strong hardware development skills, including experience with end-to-end design, prototyping, and validation.

Proficiency in circuit design for digital and/or mixed-signal systems, with familiarity in simulation and analysis tools.

Hands-on expertise in electronics hardware design, including PCB design, component selection, and signal integrity considerations.

Solid understanding of computer hardware architectures, interfaces, and embedded systems concepts.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Experience with FPGA/ASIC design flows, lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers), and hardware debugging techniques.

Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and document designs and test results effectively.

Interest in EDA tools, processor design, and R&D-oriented product development; prior semiconductor or system design experience is an advantage.
