Camertronix is looking for a Hardware Engineer who can take a product from concept to working prototype. You'll design circuits, build embedded firmware, and create 3D models for enclosures and mechanical parts, owning the physical build of our hardware products from idea to first working unit.
Responsibilities

Design, simulate, and prototype electronic circuits and PCBs for new and existing products

Write and debug embedded firmware (C/C++) for microcontrollers driving our devices

Create 3D models and mechanical designs (CAD) for enclosures, mounts, and product housings

Build and test functional prototypes, iterating quickly based on results

Select components and parts based on cost, availability, and performance

Work with 3D printing and/or CNC processes to produce prototype parts

Document designs, schematics, and firmware for handoff and future development

Troubleshoot hardware and firmware issues across the full stack, from circuit to enclosure

Collaborate with the wider team to align hardware design with product requirements and timelines
Qualifications

Proven experience in circuit/PCB design (tools like KiCad, Altium, or Eagle)

Solid embedded programming experience (C/C++, microcontrollers such as STM32, ESP32, Arduino, etc.)

Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar)

Experience building and testing physical prototypes

Understanding of manufacturing processes (3D printing, injection molding, or CNC a plus)

Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working across disciplines

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

Portfolio or examples of past hardware projects strongly preferred
