As a Hardware Engineer, you will contribute to the development of automotive low-power electrical drive systems within a small hardware engineering team throughout the development lifecycle.
You will deep dive with HW lead in the HW development of electrical drives with primary focus on the control and drive electronics for HVAC Blower Controllers/Engine Cooling Fans/Coolant Pumps and other potential future products within the thermal management system of automotive vehicles.
Your tasks:
► Being part of a small HW engineering team (1–3 engineers)
► Develop HW according to V-model, HW-Spice and our process
► Developing hardware solutions for highly integrated automotive low-power electrical drive systems (12V/48V, <1kW)
► Analyse System requirements and System Architecture
► Formulate HW requirements and create HW architecture, based on system requirements and system architecture
► Develop, simulate and validate electronic HW concepts, designs and circuits
► Create corresponding HW design documentation, worst-case calculations, simulations, FMEA, FAM, DRBFM etc. and validation and test plans
► Evaluate feasibility, cost and functionality and implement design changes
► Acquire and share a high level of understanding of analogue, digital and power electronics related to electrical drives
► Cooperate with international partners and other Bosch development teams
► Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field
► System-level thinking and structured problem-solving approach
► Knowledge of power electronics and electrical drive systems (EMC, DC-LINK, B6, Bridge-drivers, LIN/CAN, uC’s)
► Familiarity with automotive standards and test specifications (e.g. LV124)
► Experience with worst-case calculations and simulations including simulation tools (OrCAD, LTSpice etc.)
► Experience in hardware testing and validation
► High level of documentation culture and precise working style
► Experience with the usual development tools and methodologies like FMEA, FAM, DRBFM, Morphological matrix etc.
► Good English language skills (written and spoken), especially in documentation
