We're Hiring: Hardware & Embedded Systems Engineer
Gurgaon | Full-Time | Core Team
At
LAT Aerospace
, we’re building India’s first clean-sheet
Short Take-off and Landing (STOL)
aircraft – designed to unlock access to hundreds of underutilised airstrips and redefine regional air mobility. We’re looking for a
Hardware & Embedded Systems Engineer
who can architect, build, and test the brains and nerves of the aircraft – from flight control electronics to power and communication systems. You’ll join a small, fast-moving core team where your designs go from concept to flight test.
What You’ll Do
-
Design and develop
high-reliability PCBs
for flight control, avionics, and power management systems.
-
Own the full hardware lifecycle –
schematic design, component selection, simulation, layout, validation
, and
qualification
.
-
Write and debug
embedded firmware
for real-time systems (ARM Cortex / STM32 / TI / Microchip).
-
Build interfaces for
sensors, actuators, datalinks, and redundant flight control channels
.
-
Perform
circuit and thermal analysis
, EMI/EMC mitigation, and power integrity validation for airborne hardware.
-
Lead
HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop)
setups, and flight hardware integration.
-
Support
environmental and qualification testing
under
DO-160 / MIL-STD-810 / MIL-STD-461
standards.
-
Collaborate with
avionics, propulsion, and flight control engineers
to integrate your hardware into real aircraft systems.
-
Contribute to
failure analysis, redundancy planning, and fault-tolerant design
for safety-critical subsystems.
What We’re Looking For
-
3+ years
of experience designing and validating
embedded electronics
for aerospace, automotive, or defense systems.
-
Strong command of
analog/digital design
,
signal conditioning
, and
mixed-signal interfaces
.
-
Proficiency with
Altium Designer / KiCad
,
embedded C/C++
, and
hardware debugging tools
(oscilloscope, logic analyzer, JTAG).
-
Hands-on experience with
real hardware bring-up
– comfortable with soldering irons, test benches, and firmware flashes.
-
Working knowledge of
DO-254
,
DO-160
, or
MIL-STD
standards.
-
Understanding of
redundancy, isolation, and EMI/EMC design principles
.
-
Bonus: Experience with
RTOS
,
CAN/CAN-FD
,
Ethernet-based avionics
, or
power distribution systems
.
Why Join LAT
-
Work on
real flying hardware
– not simulation-only projects.
-
Join the
founding engineering team
shaping India’s next-generation aircraft platform.
-
Tackle first-principles engineering across
electronics, flight controls, and systems integration
.
