About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Firmware Engineer to join our engineering team on a Part-Time Remote basis. You will play a key role in developing innovative embedded firmware solutions for consumer electronics and healthcare products. This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex embedded systems challenges and working across hardware and software teams.


Responsibilities

  • Design and develop embedded firmware using Embedded C.
  • Own firmware architecture for assigned products.
  • Develop new features and resolve firmware defects.
  • Perform hardware bring-up and low-level debugging.
  • Work with ARM-based microcontrollers.
  • Develop firmware for serial communication protocols including UART, I2C, and SPI.
  • Collaborate with hardware, testing, and product teams.
  • Create technical documentation and test applications.
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards.
  • Support product development through release.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of firmware development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Embedded C.
  • Experience with ARM processors or microcontrollers.
  • Experience with Git, CMake, GNU toolchain, VS Code, and Jira.
  • Strong debugging skills using JTAG or similar tools.
  • Experience reading electronic schematics.
  • Experience with hardware bring-up and product development.
