Founding FPGA & ASIC , and AI Engineer

This is unpaid, part time role at an early stage organization at this stage. Visa Sponsorship is not available.

Biio is an accelerator backed startup, developing an edge-AI processors for next generation intelligent systems

We are pre-funding at this stage and this is not a paid position. We are looking for a Intern to support our broader team. The person can be located anywhere and we are looking for the right skills and attitude, however it is ideal if you are in Seattle. We are currently working on our proof of concept prior to going for raising funds.

Founding ASIC/FPGA Hardware Engineer:

Design Architecture and micro-architecture design of an ultra-low power ASIC on modern process technologies, <= 28nm. Write System Verilog and code new tests to validate the design. Logic design and validation of custom IP. Evaluate and integrate IP such as RISC-V. Prepare and evaluate the end-to-end SoC design for Si tapeout. Lead implementation of high-volume ASIC.

Your challenges:

• FPGA system design and specification of high-performance FPGA-based designs.
• RTL implementation, simulation, algorithm design and modelling
• Integrate the developed algorithms in a wide range of applications, such as digital communications, image processing and video processing.
• Bring-up, debug and test of the developed solutions on hardware.
• You are passionate about embedded Machine Learning (edgeML) and/or low-power processor design and architecture.
• Implement AI architecture together with our team.

Your profile:

• Degree (PhD/MSc/BSc) in a technical subject, such as electronic engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or similar.
• At least 3 years of experience with FPGA implementation.
• Background in FPGA verification and/or DSP implementation is considered a strong plus.
• Very good communication skills in English.
