About The Role
We are looking for a
Firmware Validation Engineer
to develop and maintain a comprehensive firmware validation framework for platform firmware components, including
BMC, UEFI, and SMM
. This role focuses on designing validation strategies, developing automated test solutions, integrating test infrastructure with Jenkins, and driving continuous quality improvements through close collaboration with firmware development teams.
Key Responsibilities

Review BMC, UEFI, and SMM firmware design specifications and architecture documents to develop comprehensive validation plans and test cases.

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and validation frameworks for BMC, UEFI, and SMM firmware components.

Develop and maintain Jenkins-based test pipelines to support both automated and on-demand firmware validation execution.

Integrate validation tools and test scripts developed by different testing teams into a unified Jenkins pipeline infrastructure.

Manage, maintain, and upgrade Jenkins environments to ensure the stability, scalability, and reliability of the firmware testing platform.

Analyze test results, identify failures, and work closely with firmware developers to drive issue resolution and root-cause analysis.

Conduct regular reviews of validation coverage, test effectiveness, and execution efficiency with firmware development teams to continuously improve product quality.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience in firmware validation, system validation, or software test automation.

Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Shell Script, PowerShell, or similar.

Hands-on experience with Jenkins pipeline development, CI/CD infrastructure, and automation frameworks.

Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating environments.

Experience reviewing technical specifications and translating requirements into effective test cases.
