This is a 100% on-site position based in our cozy office in Amstelveen.
Firmware Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Firmware Engineer to provide technical support for system customization, resolve technical issues, engage in customer discussions, support testing efforts, design and contribute to the development of European and UK standard charging station systems.
Responsibilities:
- Stay updated on local R&D technology and development in the electric vehicle charging industry.
- Analyze and ensure compliance with local regulations and standards relevant to EV charging systems.
- Provide technical support for European and UK clients for system software/firmware customization and modification, including overseeing local design replacements.
- Assist local customers onsite with problem analysis and resolution, addressing technical issues related to EV chargers and systems.
- Engage in technical discussions with clients regarding their system software/firmware needs and requirements.
- Support local functional and interoperability testing efforts to ensure seamless integration of EV charging solutions.
- Contribute to the research and development of system control modules to enhance charging efficiency and functionality.
- Participate in wireless charging system research and development initiatives, exploring innovative charging technologies.
- Collaborate on the future development of European and UK standard charging station systems, aligning with industry trends and advancements in EV charging technology.
- Domestic and international travel required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Willingness to commute daily to our office in Amstelveen- this is a fully on-site role.
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or another comparable field. MS Degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of related work experience in EVSE.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail, the ability to prioritize changing situations.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to drive tasks to completion.
- Able to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure.
- Ability to communicate accurately and comfortably with all levels of management.
- Motivated self-starter that can productively work alone and in groups to solve problems.
