Job Description

Role Overview:

This role blends firmware test development, post‑silicon CPU server validation, and AI‑driven tooling/agent development. The engineer sits within a QA organization but works closely with firmware developers and architects to understand upcoming programs and design effective test strategies.

Work Breakdown :

~40% — Firmware Test Design & Development

  • Designing test plans for server CPU firmware
  • Creating minimal Python scripts for automation
  • Working with architects to understand new features and upcoming programs

~40% — Execution & Troubleshooting

  • Running tests (manual + scripted)
  • Debugging firmware issues
  • Post‑silicon CPU server validation
  • Hands-on troubleshooting across multiple layers

~20% — AI Infrastructure & Agentic Tool Development

  • Using AI tools to optimize daily workflows.
  • Building internal AI agents to support testing and automation.
  • Leveraging LLM-backed tools for productivity and validation.

Top Required Skills :

  • Post‑silicon CPU server experience.
  • CPU architecture knowledge.
  • Firmware background.
  • Python scripting.
  • Automation experience.
  • AI experience — using agents, LLMs, or AI tools in workflow.

Top 3 Preferred Skills :

  • RAS (Reliability, Availability, Serviceability)
  • Virtualization
  • LLM‑backed tools / AI agent development

Additional Notes :

  • Candidates who have developed firmware features and also have testing experience are highly desirable.
  • Team is part of QA but operates closely with development for deeper architectural insight.
  • Testing is a mix of manual + scripted, not purely automation.
  • Strong preference for candidates who understand how to apply AI to improve engineering workflows.
