Firmware Engineer (Contract)

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our dynamic team as an Embedded Systems Engineer. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology within a collaborative environment, focusing on the development of firmware and drivers for innovative gaming accessories. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Qualcomm audio firmware development, with a strong background in embedded systems engineering. You will be responsible for designing and implementing real-time audio system features, contributing to the creation of next-generation hardware that will be available in retail stores.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, bring up, and implement real-time embedded audio system features for a Qualcomm-based headset.
• Develop and implement production firmware publishing pipelines.
• Create test strategies and test plans to ensure regular coverage and quality assurance.
• Collaborate closely with team members in a highly interactive lab environment.
• Troubleshoot and debug firmware issues using JTAG and other debugging tools.
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in embedded systems engineering.
• Experience with high-volume consumer electronics devices that are battery-powered and communicate over 802.11, BT, or USB.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with Qualcomm firmware/toolchain.
• Minimum 10 years of experience coding in C/C++.
• Minimum 10 years of experience developing embedded systems using Qualcomm compilers and tooling.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Design Engineering (preferred but not required).
• Expertise in USB, BR/EDR, and BLE communications protocols.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Location: Redmond, WA (Onsite)
• Duration: 7 Months
• Pay Range: $70 - $79.50 per hour
• Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
