FPGA Support Engineer

About the Role

A technology company is seeking an FPGA Engineer to support the development, integration, and optimization of FPGA-based digital systems. This role will work closely with engineering teams to support FPGA implementations, assist with debugging and validation efforts, and contribute to hardware development projects in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Support development and integration of FPGA-based digital systems
• Develop and debug RTL code using Verilog/SystemVerilog
• Assist with simulation, validation, and debugging activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
• Support synthesis, timing analysis, and FPGA bring-up efforts
• Troubleshoot hardware and system-level issues
• Maintain technical documentation and validation records

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of FPGA or digital design experience
• Experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog
• Familiarity with FPGA development and debugging tools
• Understanding of embedded systems and digital interfaces
• Python or scripting experience is a plus
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Preferred Experience

• FPGA toolchains such as Vivado, Quartus, or similar
• Simulation and debugging environments
• Embedded hardware systems and digital communication protocols
