About O-HIVE

O-HIVE is developing a next-generation Visual Language Model (VLM) platform for Spatial Vision and Visual Inspection that enables manufacturers, robotics companies, and industrial operators to deploy AI-powered vision systems without extensive data acquisition, model training, or lengthy integration cycles.

Our platform combines on-device Visual Language Models, computer vision, spatial mapping, and edge AI acceleration to deliver same-day deployment and dynamic adaptability across industrial environments.

We are seeking a highly motivated FPGA Engineer to help accelerate our edge AI inference pipeline and deploy high-performance vision applications on next-generation FPGA and heterogeneous computing platforms.


Position Overview

As an FPGA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and validating FPGA-based acceleration solutions for O-HIVE's Visual Language Model and computer vision workloads.

You will work closely with AI, embedded, software, and hardware engineers to develop high-performance edge AI solutions for industrial automation, robotics, visual inspection, and spatial vision applications.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the architecture and commercialization of cutting-edge AI products deployed in real-world manufacturing and industrial environments.


ResponsibilitiesFPGA Development & Optimization
  • Design and implement FPGA architectures for AI inference, image processing, and computer vision acceleration.
  • Develop FPGA modules using:
  • VHDL
  • Verilog
  • SystemVerilog
  • High-Level Synthesis (HLS)
  • Optimize performance, latency, throughput, and resource utilization.
  • Develop and maintain FPGA firmware and hardware abstraction layers.
  • Integrate FPGA accelerators with embedded processors and AI frameworks.


AI & Vision Acceleration
  • Accelerate:
  • CNNs
  • Transformer architectures
  • Visual Language Models
  • Image preprocessing pipelines
  • Spatial vision algorithms
  • Support quantization and optimization of AI models for edge deployment.
  • Implement custom DSP and image processing pipelines.


Hardware Integration
  • Integrate FPGA solutions with:
  • Cameras
  • Imaging sensors
  • Robotics systems
  • Edge AI devices
  • Embedded Linux platforms
  • Collaborate with PCB and hardware teams during system development.


Verification & Testing
  • Create simulation environments and verification frameworks.
  • Conduct:
  • Functional verification

  • Hardware validation
  • Performance benchmarking
  • Debug FPGA designs using industry-standard tools.


Product Development
  • Participate in architecture discussions and technology roadmaps.
  • Contribute to commercialization efforts and customer deployments.
  • Support proof-of-concepts, pilot projects, and production releases.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in:
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Computer Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Related technical field
  • 3+ years of FPGA development experience.

Experience with:

  • VHDL

  • FPGA design methodologies
  • Timing closure and optimization

Strong understanding of:
