Your Crew
You‘ll join a dynamic team, responsible for the development and verification of FPGA for satellite onboard and ground support products, equipments and sub-systems. You will join us in changing and refining the way we work in an innovative industry with endless opportunities for improvement. You will be part of a dedicated team with the ambition to innovate space!
Your Mission
- Analyse and understand the internal and/or external customer requirements for FPGAs
- Develop and implement robust designs for FPGAs of satellite onboard and ground support systems
- Develop and implement the verification approach for the FPGAs
- Grasp and foster the interdisciplinary and x-functional developments and pro-actively interfaces with adjacent system, software, hardware disciplines to drive technical concepts, modularity, validation, etc.

Generate the FPGA development documentation and data-packages
Musts:
- Education in Electrical/Software/Aerospace Engineering, M.Sc. level (or corresponding experience)
- Experience and good knowledge in FPGA design and development in VHDL for complex and reliable designs, including synthesis and place and route.
- Good collaboration skills and is looking for answers and solutions both within and outside the team
- Good sense of quality and understands the importance of processes and documentation

Is creative, solution-oriented, and open to outside influences with the ability to implement them internally
- Experience in design and development of satellite onboard and ground support solutions, including space industry standards like ECSS.
- Experience with agile methods or experience as team leader for agile teams
- A cross-competence profile that can support other roles within the development team like HW design or SW design.

Deep knowledge in telecommunications and digital signal processing

Senior Embedded Software Engineer

What we're looking for
At embedd.it, we power hardware-software integration in embedded devices. We turn fragmented semiconductor chip data into configurable digital twins, then deterministically generate code, tests, and documentation – making integration faster, cheaper, and resilient to supply chain shocks.
We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
