FPGA Engineer 1
to join its office in
Roma
or
Genova
within the Electronics and System Engineering Division.
Mission
The role focuses on designing, implementation, testing and optimization of FPGA-based solutions for a variety of applications.
Key Accountabilities

Provide support to system engineer for FPGA definition;
-
Define the FPGA detailed specification;
-
Define and evaluate IP cores to be procured;
-
Define the FPGA architecture;
-
Design the FPGA in VHDL;
-
Perform coding rules conformance check;
-
Perform code coverage;
-
Design the testbench for the FPGA;
-
Perform simulation;
-
Perform synthesis and P&R;
-
Analysis of pre and post-layout simulations;
-
Participate to FPGA test and validation.
Education
Master’s Degree in Electronic/TLC Engineering or Electronics
Qualifications
-
Degree in Electronics Engineering or Phisycs;
-
Ability to understand the VHDL and / or Verilog-System Verilog code;
-
In-depth knowledge of FPGA development tools (Vivado);
-
Experience in hardware development for Digital Signal Processing applications;
-
FPGA design and simulation skills;
-
Project Development Plan: development, testing, integration, documents;
-
Good knowledge of Tools: Vivado HLS 2018.3; QuestaSim 10.6;
-
Good knowledge of laboratory instrumentation (es multimeter and oscilloscope);
-
Nice to have: previous experience in FPGA design in military will be appreciated.
