Role Summary
izmo Microsystems is looking for an experienced and hands-on Engineering Manager Embedded Systems to lead architecture, design, development, integration, validation, and productization of embedded hardware and firmware solutions. Proven technical leader and people manager delivering complete embedded products from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end development of embedded systems from requirements to production.

Define system architecture covering MCU/MPU, FPGA, memory, power, communication interfaces, sensors, analog/mixed-signal circuits, and high-speed digital interfaces.

Lead and review embedded hardware design including schematics, component selection, PCB design, signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, DFM, and DFT.

Lead firmware development covering Embedded C/C++, RTOS, device drivers, bootloaders, diagnostics, communication stacks, and firmware upgrade mechanisms.

Provide technical leadership for Embedded Linux, and various RTOS-based platforms.

Lead board bring-up, hardware firmware integration, system debugging, root-cause analysis, verification, and validation.

Guide development involving interfaces such as I C, SPI, UART, RS-232/485, USB, Ethernet, PCIe, DDR, LVDS, and MIPI.

Define Design Verification Plans, test strategies, acceptance criteria, reliability testing, and production test requirements.

Support customer engagement through requirement analysis, feasibility studies, technical proposals, architecture reviews, design reviews, and issue resolution.

Drive smooth transition of products from R&D to NPI and volume manufacturing, working closely with PCB Design, Mechanical, FPGA, Test, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management teams.
Required Technical Skills

Strong experience in MCU/MPU-based embedded systems, digital, analog, and mixed-signal electronics.

Expertise in device drivers, bootloaders, and communication protocols.

Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, JTAG debuggers, and other electronic test equipment.

Ability to independently review system architecture, schematics, PCB designs, firmware architecture, interface timing, and validation plans.
Qualification & Experience

B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. in Electronics, ECE, EEE, Instrumentation, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.

10 15 years of relevant embedded systems development experience, including 3 5 years in technical leadership or engineering management.
