We are looking for an experienced technical engineer to lead a team of 5 - 10 Embedded Software Development and Test Engineers.

You will

• Use a servant leadership manner to provide coordination and guidance for your team in the areas of test design and implementation.
• Develop the team and assist them with goal setting and achievement. Directly supervise a team of Software engineers by providing for their continued development, motivation, and performing performance management. Work with individuals to help them reach their full potential.
• Encourage a positive and inclusive work environment to foster outstanding performance. Work with leadership to understand and then implement the vision of a performance driven and collaborative workplace.
• Help your team eliminate non-value add work by leading improvement activities in design capabilities and processes so your team is best in class in development execution.
• Promote and contribute to reliable automated test engineering practices and technology
• Use modern continuous integration and development tools
• Collaborate with development and other test teams to develop test tools that meet product requirements

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical degree
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in product development and test tools.
• Strong working knowledge of a common programming language, such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java or C#.
• Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Ability to direct the day-to-day technical activities of a small team of engineers
• Must exhibit excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Past technical experience with Agile / Scrum / Kanban
• Experience in industrial automation product development or related technical areas, including background with large scale system development projects
• Minimum of 2 years of experience demonstrating technical leadership capabilities, working effectively with different levels of staff across functional boundaries.
• Experience working with global team members on multi-campus product development
