Compensation: $80,000–$120,000 annually with equity, depending on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated technical expertise
About Penderia Technologies
Penderia Technologies is a biomedical sensor company founded in 2020 in Eugene, Oregon. We develop innovative implantable sensing technologies that provide objective, data-driven insights for orthopedic procedures and rehabilitation. Our lead product is a wireless implantable sensor designed to measure graft load during soft tissue reconstruction. In 2025, this technology received FDA Breakthrough Device Designation, recognizing its potential to improve patient outcomes and transform orthopedic care.

Position Summary
Penderia Technologies is seeking a motivated and versatile Embedded Systems Engineer to support the development of next-generation implantable medical devices and their associated instrumentation systems. This role spans embedded electronic systems, firmware development, system integration, signal processing/algorithm development, verification, and regulatory documentation. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to advance our implantable sensor platform from development through commercialization.
We are open to candidates ranging from individual contributors to more senior engineers capable of providing technical leadership. Title and responsibilities will be tailored to experience and qualifications. Hybrid model available (3 days onsite, flexible) with option to work on-site full time.

· Develop robust, maintainable, and well-documented software following established software engineering best practices.
· Participate in software requirements development, design reviews, code reviews, and software risk management activities.
· Analyze performance data, investigate system failures, and implement corrective actions.
