We have an opportunity for a Director, Embedded AI, to join our Golden Valley MN team. You will accelerate the adoption of AI and analytics solutions that elevate customer experience, drive innovative growth initiatives, and enable our business units to develop smarter, more differentiated products and solutions. This role will play a central role in partnering with Pentair’s businesses to identify, shape, and prioritize new opportunities, and will collaborate closely with IT and third-party partners to rapidly implement high-impact, AI-enabled solutions.
You will:
- Lead the company-wide adoption of AI and analytics solutions that enhance customer experience, drive organic growth, and identify new unique revenue streams.
- Collaborate with business units to uncover and prioritize AI opportunities across the customer journey, product development, and innovation.
- Support the creation of new digital business models and smart product features enabled by AI and data insights.
- Guide the use of platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, and other generative AI tools to embed intelligence into digital workflows and products.
- Ensure Scalable Implementation: Translate business needs into scalable, secure, and user-friendly AI solutions that integrate with existing systems and platforms.
- Promote adoption through training, communication, and sharing of success stories across the organization.
- Define success metrics, track performance, and communicate outcomes to executive stakeholders to inform future investments.
- Define and own the enterprise embedded AI strategy, aligning AI capabilities with product roadmaps, customer value propositions, and long-term business strategy.
- Build and lead a high-performing embedded AI organization, including internal talent, external partners, and ecosystem relationships to accelerate innovation and scale.
Key Qualifications:
- At least 7 years in digital transformation, with proven experience in AI and analytics to develop and implement differentiated customer solutions in either industry or consulting environments.
- Experience with modern AI technologies and platforms, including large language models (LLMs), machine learning, and agentic AI, with a focus on applying these tools to real-world business and customer-facing solutions.
- Experience with industrial products and manufacturing companies.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment.
- Strong understanding of digital technologies and third-party solutions (e.g., IoT, data platforms, automation, AI/ML) Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas to executive level leaders.
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale AI or advanced analytics programs with measurable business, customer, and revenue impact.
- Strong business and product mindset, with the ability to translate AI capabilities into differentiated customer offerings and competitive advantage.
- Experience partnering closely with IT, data, cybersecurity, legal, and product teams to deploy embedded AI solutions in regulated or mission-critical environments.
Compensation:
For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $149000 - $276700 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus and/or long-term incentives.
