Embedded System Senior Test Engineer

NXP is looking for passionate, talented and self-driven smartcard, NFC and embedded UICC Senior Test Engineer for its Bangalore location to become part of its System Integration and Validation team that drives the adoption of NFC based solutions and embedded SIM technologies in NXP products. This team is part of C&S - SET Software delivering best-in-class software for NFC supporting NXP’s Secure Transaction portfolio.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Validation and verification of NFC components at System level in the role of a Senior Test engineer
  • Develop, execute, and automate tests for characterizing key performance metrics of the system.
  • Develop test scripts according to the test plans.
  • Participate in technical reviews and product evaluation to make better solutions
  • Debug and analyze issues and work with different teams to bring it to closure.
  • Work with debuggers, Logic analyzer, Multimeters, Oscilloscope, Contact Lab, RF tracer and development tools such as RF Sniffers etc.

Education, Experience & Skills: Mandatory Skills:

  • Bachelors/master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • 2-8 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, debugging skills & interpretation skills
  • Basic knowledge of fundamental concepts in Wireless Communications and Connectivity domain like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, Zigbee and secure payment solutions.
  • Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, etc. is required
  • Experience in any one of the programming languages like C, C++, JAVA, Python or Perl is a must
  • Should be familiar with Contact / contactless smart card protocols (ISO7816, ISO14443) and RFIDs.
  • Smart card Operating Systems / Java Card OS experience is a plus
  • Desirable to have knowledge in embedded UICC.
