Job Title: KiCad PCB Design Engineer – Medical Devices

We are looking for a skilled KiCad PCB Design Engineer to design, develop, and support PCBAs for medical devices. The candidate will be responsible for schematic design, PCB layout, component selection, documentation, prototype validation, and coordination with manufacturing teams while ensuring compliance with medical device quality standards.

• Design electronic circuits and PCB layouts using KiCad .
• Develop multilayer PCB designs for medical electronic devices.
• Create and maintain schematics, BOMs, Gerber files, assembly drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
• Perform component selection, footprint creation, and library management.
• Work closely with hardware, firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
• Support prototype assembly, testing, debugging, and design validation.
• Coordinate with PCB fabrication and PCBA vendors.
• Ensure designs meet EMC/EMI, safety, reliability, and manufacturability requirements.
• Assist in risk management and design documentation as per medical device requirements.
• Support design transfer from R&D to production.

• Strong experience with KiCad PCB Design Software .
• Knowledge of analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power supply circuits.
• Experience in multilayer PCB design and high-speed routing.
• Understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly).
• Knowledge of PCB fabrication and SMT assembly processes.
• Experience in creating and maintaining component libraries and footprints.
• Familiarity with test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
• Good documentation and communication skills.

• B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech in Electronics, ECE, EEE, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of PCB design experience.
• Experience in medical device development is preferred.
• Knowledge of standards such as:
• ISO 13485
• IEC 60601
• IEC 62304 (preferred)
• Risk Management as per ISO 14971 (preferred)
