Job Title: Embedded Systems Engineer

Location: Indianapolis, IN, 46204

Rate: $65-$67/hr on W2

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Position comments:

Monday - Friday 9AM - 5PM

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering
• 9–15 years of hands-on embedded systems engineering experience
• Strong background in systems engineering, lifecycle management, functional decomposition, and interface management
• Demonstrated experience writing and maintaining system-level requirements and specifications
• Proficiency with engineering tools for requirements and documentation management
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
• Effective verbal and written communicator; adept at cross-functional collaboration

Preferred Skills

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• In-depth knowledge of embedded control systems and communication protocols (CAN, RS-485, BLE, Ethernet, Wi-Fi)
• Experience with HVAC controls, energy management, or smart home systems
• Familiarity with connected product ecosystems, OTA updates, and telemetry frameworks
• Understanding of INCOSE SE Handbook, ISO 15288 standards, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
