Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Embedded System Engineer role based in Islamabad. The Embedded System Engineer will design, develop, and maintain embedded software and firmware for microcontroller- and microprocessor-based systems. Daily responsibilities include writing and debugging embedded C/C++ code, integrating sensors and actuators, and working closely with hardware engineers to validate and optimize system performance. The role involves developing and reviewing technical documentation, participating in design reviews, and supporting prototype bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting. The engineer will also contribute to Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, including connectivity, data acquisition, and device-level security, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and quality standards.
Qualifications

Strong embedded software skills, including experience with Embedded Software development, real-time programming, and Software Development best practices.

Solid background in Electrical Engineering and Electronics, with the ability to read schematics, understand hardware constraints, and collaborate effectively with hardware teams.

Knowledge of Internet of Things (IoT) concepts, including connected devices, communication protocols, and integration of embedded systems into IoT architectures.

Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, debugging tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers), and version control systems.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Ability to analyze and solve technical problems, document designs clearly, and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Familiarity with industry standards, safety considerations, and product development lifecycles is an advantage.
