As part of a collaborative, integrated hardware + software development team, you will help build a new generation of creative tools and help industry-leading artists craft unique visual experiences for audiences around the world. We need skilled, solution-oriented engineers to help build the hardware and software foundations of those tools to meet the ever-increasing performance and security demands of our industry, so our ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience and skills in embedded hardware, embedded software, or a combination of both.
Responsibilities

Collaborate in all phases of the embedded software lifecycle, from architecture, implementation, testing to ongoing feature improvements and bugfixes

Write embedded applications in C or C++ for ARM Cortex-M and similar platforms, for bare-metal and RTOS environments

Design and implement low-level MCU architecture, including peripheral drivers, bootloaders, memory management, platform security features

Integrate and troubleshoot software on embedded hardware systems, including unit testing and hardware-in-the-loop

Help design and implement secure platform architectures and provisioning

Generate essential documentation and engineering materials to support the development of complex systems

Participate in regular architecture, design, and code reviews and help plan effective development roadmaps

Support electronic design work for embedded platforms, including schematic and board-level design review
Qualifications

2-5 years of experience or combination of education and experience in embedded development and related fields

Demonstrated experience developing complex embedded software, both bare metal and with embedded RTOSes such as FreeRTOS or Zephyr

Experience writing C/C++, Python, and preferably ARM/Thumb2 Assembly, and related software tooling

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience with embedded hardware/software integration, including hardware-based troubleshooting and driver development/testing/troubleshooting

Working familiarity with security concepts, including encryption, certificates, and signing

Some experience with electrical engineering, including basic PCB design and familiarity with EMC and SI concepts
