Job Description

At Tata Technologies we make product development dreams a reality by designing, engineering and validating the products of tomorrow for the world’s leading manufacturers. Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a Embedded Software Engineer to join our team in Lund, Skåne, Sweden.


The role

Within the central execution environment, the team is responsible for the Low Power Unit (LPA) computer, which is developed entirely in‑house using Rust. Several new projects are being prepared, and we are now looking for a driven and motivated Embedded Software Engineer to join the team.


Responsibilities

  • Develop software using the Rust programming language
  • Participate in system architecture design
  • Break down and analyze requirements
  • Create and maintain test cases
  • Manage system build and support tools
  • Maintain and improve the CI/CD infrastructure
  • Manage and enhance the release process
  • Perform advanced technical R&D investigations
  • Support various development teams and stakeholders
  • Perform debugging and troubleshooting
  • Work in a strong Agile team responsible for everything from requirements and software architecture to implementation and testing


Background / Experience

  • Experience in programming and testing embedded systems , including bare‑metal environments
  • Knowledge of Unix‑based tools and workflows
  • Good understanding of Automotive Ethernet , including UDP/TCP , as well as traditional vehicle communication protocols such as CAN and LIN
  • Fluency in Swedish and English , both spoken and written


Meritorious

  • Strong interest in embedded programming using Rust, C++, or C
  • Experience with requirements reviews and test design
  • Knowledge of Bash and Python
  • Experience with diagnostic protocols such as UDS and DoIP
  • Experience working with Jenkins and/or Zuul CI/CD environments
  • Experience with system architecture within the automotive industry
  • Self‑driven, curious, and passionate about deep problem‑solving
  • Strong networking ability and experience working cross‑functionally , with excellent communication skills
