Position Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer – Embedded OS to support the development of tools and scripts that improve the efficiency and user experience of the client's OpenRTOS-based embedded software development environment .

The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, provide daily user support, and help drive innovation by developing the next generation of tools used across the embedded software development community.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain tools and scripts to improve efficiency and user experience for OpenRTOS-based embedded software development.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support embedded software development initiatives.
• Provide daily technical support to users of embedded software development tools.
• Lead innovation efforts to define and develop next-generation tools for the embedded development community.
• Participate in software design, development, testing, and maintenance activities.
• Support continuous improvement of embedded software development processes and workflows.
• Work collaboratively within Agile development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in:
• Computer Science
• Computer Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Agricultural Engineering
• Or equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years of experience in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages:
• C#
• C++
• Java
• Strong understanding of object-oriented software design principles.
• Strong programming experience in C .
• Good understanding of the embedded software development lifecycle, from requirements through machine validation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with:
• GNU Make
• Python
• Knowledge of:
• CAN (Controller Area Network)
• UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services)
• Experience working with OpenRTOS or other embedded real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience delivering commercial software products.
• Master's or other advanced degree in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline is a plus.
