Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Embedded Software Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The Embedded Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain embedded software components for ASIC/SoC-based systems and related hardware platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing and optimizing code, debugging and resolving software issues, collaborating with hardware and verification teams, and contributing to system-level integration. The role involves working on modules such as boot loaders, device drivers, and hardware abstraction layers, writing clear documentation, and participating in code reviews to ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability. The engineer will also support testing teams to validate embedded software against functional and quality requirements.

Qualifications

  • Candidate should have 4+ years of Industry experience
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Embedded Software Programming and Embedded Software development.
  • Candidates should possess solid Software Development and Software Design skills for embedded systems.
  • Candidate should have deep working knowledge on Embedded Linux or expertise in one of RTOS
  • Candidates should possess effective Debugging skills for low-level, hardware-near software.
  • Candidates should possess a good understanding of microcontrollers, processors, and real-time operating systems.
  • Candidates should possess the ability to read schematics and work closely with hardware and verification teams.
  • Candidates should possess experience with version control, build systems, and collaborative development workflows.
  • Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Candidates should possess strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills; prior experience in ASIC/SoC or embedded product development is an advantage.
