What This Role Is

You will design, build, and debug embedded hardware and firmware that operates inside industrial plants.

This means schematics, PCB layout reviews, firmware on microcontrollers and Linux SBCs, communication protocol integration, and field deployment support.

You will work across the full chain from circuit design to production firmware.

What You Will Do

• Design schematics and review PCB layouts for industrial edge devices.
• Write firmware in C / Python on Micro Controller / Linux platforms.
• Implement and debug communication protocols: RS-485, Modbus RTU, CAN/J1939, UART, SPI, I2C.
• Develop RTOS-based applications with real-time constraints.
• Integrate sensors, actuators, and IO modules into working systems.
• Work on Linux-based embedded platforms: device drivers, hardware interfacing, kernel-level optimization where needed.
• Design isolated IO, power supply sections, and protection circuits for industrial environments.
• Support production testing, field commissioning, and on-site debugging.
• Collaborate with the software team on data contracts, MQTT telemetry, and OTA update flows.

Must-Have

• B.E./B.Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication, Electronics, or Instrumentation.
• Strong C/C++ on bare-metal and RTOS environments.
• Hands-on experience reading datasheets, drawing schematics, and debugging with oscilloscope and logic analyzer.
• Working knowledge of at least two industrial communication protocols (RS-485, Modbus, CAN, SPI, I2C, UART).
• Understanding of power supply design, signal conditioning, and PCB design considerations for noise and EMI.
• Experience with at least one microcontroller family (ESP32, STM32, or equivalent).

Good to Have

• Experience with ESP-IDF / STM / Nordic ( RISC V) frameworks.
• Familiarity with Linux kernel modules or device tree configuration.
• Exposure to KiCad / Altium / Eagle for PCB design.
• Understanding of industrial safety and protection standards.
• Prior work in factory or plant environments.
• Exposure to MQTT, OTA mechanisms, or fleet management concepts.
