We are currently seeking a qualified
Embedded Software Engineer
to join our team. The embedded software team creates and produces software operating on embedded hardware within the vehicle envelope. They design, develop, and maintain software for real-time embedded vehicle applications such as power distribution, sensor subsystems, and automotive software control systems.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain software solutions that support complex safety critical products and systems using C and C++

Follow established organizational processes and plans for software development, including reviews, requirements definition, testing, and configuration management.

Work within multiple software development methodologies, adapting to project needs and timelines.

Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams such as engineering, systems, and design to deliver integrated solutions.

Assess system performance and interactions across components and provide recommendations to improve overall effectiveness.

Write, test, debug, and maintain high‑quality, reliable software throughout the product lifecycle.

Create and maintain technical documentation, including design artifacts, user-facing materials, and release information.

Ensure code and development activities are well documented to support maintainability, knowledge transfer, and compliance requirements.

Participate in peer reviews and continuous improvement activities, providing constructive feedback and contributing to best practices.

Provide troubleshooting and technical support, investigating and resolving reported software issues.

Support software activities across a variety of environments, including development, integration, testing, and field or customer-facing settings.
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related field of study engineering discipline.

Minimum 2-3 Years of Relevant Experience in software development using C and/or C++

Experience testing and debugging software and basic electronic systems using common diagnostic equipment such as multimeters or oscilloscopes.

Working knowledge of real-time or low-level software concepts, including: Real-time operating systems, Safety- or mission-critical software, Bootloaders and framework-level software design, understanding of communication and networking concepts used for system integration and data exchange (e.g., serial and Ethernet-based protocols

Exposure to industry standards and best practices related to software development, system modeling, and safety.
Compensation:
$65,000 – $85,000 CAD
The base salary or rate offered to an applicant within this range is determined by considering several factors, including the individual's geographic location, skills, competencies, and unique qualifications. This ensures compensation is fair and aligned with the specific requirements and attributes of each candidate.
