  • Design, implement, and maintain device drivers for peripherals such as USB, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, and DMA
  • Develop and integrate UAS software, including flight control interfaces, autopilot integration, and companion computer applications
  • Work with drone communication protocols and autonomy frameworks (e.g., MAVLink, PX4, ArduPilot, ROS/ROS2)
  • Integrate UAS platforms with RF, networking, and command-and-control systems
  • Configure and optimize complex multi-core processor architectures
  • Support customers deploying existing Linux, DSP, and UAS products
  • Contribute across the product lifecycle, including OTA updates, security, and field reliability
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in embedded and autonomous systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or Master's in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a relevant field
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and embedded development
  • Hands-on experience programming and integrating drones or UAS platforms
  • Experience with product lifecycle requirements, including OTA updates and security
  • Strong skills in C and C++
  • Experience with embedded systems and the ability to navigate low-level technical specifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with RF and wireless applications
  • Experience with UAS autonomy frameworks, flight controllers, or ground control station software
  • Familiarity with drone regulatory and operational context (e.g., BVLOS, airspace integration)
  • Knowledge of other embedded systems platforms
  • Familiarity with ARM-based processors and their peripherals
  • Experience with additional programming languages, such as Python
  • Prior work in defense, aerospace, or mission-critical systems
  • U.S. citizenship may be required for certain programs
