Job Function

QCT is looking for software engineers to optimize System power for various use cases (e.g. Low power mode, Browser, Audio, Video, Graphics, etc.). The job may involve some or all of the following tasks: - Architecture and design of power management software for embedded devices - Working with one or more of the following operating systems: Android, Linux, Windows, WearOS. - Determining software requirements by analyzing hardware specifications and use case power requirements - Running and analyzing use cases to measure and characterize power dashboard - Writing or updating tools for measurement and collection of performance metrics - Documenting software architecture and design power management, test scenarios, analysis, results, and comparisons - Working with each technology teams, systems, hardware and software engineers to design and implement power saving - Participate in planning of future Power feature/measurement tools - Good understanding of analyzing the h/w schematic would be a plus.

Skills/Experience

Good communication skills to work with diverse teams from software and hardware development, systems, test, management, and customer support. Experience with embedded software Strong software engineering and programming skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Experience in C, Python Experience in Linux system

Responsibilities

Since this position requires continual interaction with Qualcomm customers, the candidate must have strong communication, written & interpersonal skills, high motivation, the ability to learn quickly, and must be a self-starter.

Education Requirements

Bachelors in software engineer, electrical engineering or computer science , prefer Masters
