Job Description

About The Job

Ever wonder how your wireless earbuds seamlessly connect? Here’s your chance to be one of the minds behind that magic. Join our world-class team and help develop the Bluetooth Stack that powers billions of innovative products globally - from life-saving medical devices to the latest smart home technology.

We're looking for a curious and creative engineer to join our collaborative Bluetooth Core team. Together, we'll build the next generation of wireless technology.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of a supportive team of 5-8 engineers, you'll do more than just test and write code. You will:

  • Innovate and Create: Bring new Bluetooth features to life by translating complex specifications into elegant, functional code used by millions.
  • Collaborate for Impact: Partner with our hardware teams to shape the future of Nordic’s chips, ensuring our software and hardware work in perfect harmony.
  • Solve Intriguing Puzzles: Dive deep into bare-metal and RTOS environments to debug and resolve complex protocol challenges, making our technology more robust and reliable.
  • Champion Quality: Design and build sophisticated, fully automated tests to ensure your creations are flawless. You’ll also have the opportunity to travel and participate in interoperability events with the Bluetooth SIG.

Key Qualifications

We believe that great talent comes from many different paths. While we don’t have a rigid checklist, we think you’ll thrive in this role if you bring:

  • A degree in Computer Engineering, Cybernetics, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • A basic understanding of embedded operating systems such as Zephyr or FreeRTOS
  • Familiarity with wireless protocols (such as Bluetooth)
  • Experience designing low-power embedded applications for resource-constrained devices
  • Knowledge of ARM Cortex microcontrollers
  • Experience with, or enthusiasm for, automated CI/CD test frameworks such as Jenkins

Personal Skills

  • A love of embedded software, proficiency in C/C++, and strong Python skills are a bonus!
  • A natural curiosity and analytical skills for tackling tricky problems.
  • A collaborative spirit, strong communication skills, and a genuine desire to work as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new things and making a meaningful impact.
