A deep-tech startup building real-time vision intelligence systems, is looking for a hands-on Embedded Hardware & System Integration Engineer to join its team and help develop advanced electro-optical systems for real-world applications.
This role is focused on hardware and system integration—not algorithms or optics. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with sensors, cameras, interfaces, suppliers, debugging, and bringing complex systems from concept to a reliable product.
Responsibilities
- Select and evaluate hardware components for electro-optical systems.
- Analyze datasheets, ICDs, application notes, and technical specifications.
- Work directly with suppliers on technical evaluations, integration requirements, and component selection.
- Integrate cameras, sensors, and peripherals with embedded/edge computing platforms (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson).
- Support hardware bring-up, system integration, testing, and debugging.
- Troubleshoot issues related to hardware, power, communications, drivers, cabling, thermal performance, and system stability.
- Define and execute component-level and system-level validation tests.
- Maintain BOMs, wiring diagrams, integration documentation, and test procedures.
- Support transition from prototype to production and field deployment.
Requirements
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in embedded hardware, system integration, or related engineering roles.
- Experience integrating cameras, sensors, controllers, or electro-optical systems.
- Experience with NVIDIA Jetson or similar embedded/edge computing platforms.
- Familiarity with interfaces such as MIPI/CSI, USB, Ethernet, UART, I2C, SPI, GPIO, CAN, GMSL, or FPD-Link.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and evaluate real-world feasibility.
- Experience working with hardware vendors and external suppliers.
- Good understanding of power systems, signal interfaces, grounding, and wiring.
- Strong lab, troubleshooting, and debugging capabilities.
- Self-driven, hands-on, and comfortable working in a startup environment.
Advantage
- Experience with EO/IR systems, thermal cameras, PTZ systems, or LRF.
- Experience with high-bandwidth camera interfaces.
- Background in defense, ruggedized, or field-deployed products.
- Familiarity with EMI/EMC, environmental or reliability testing.
- Experience with NPI, hardware validation, or production transfer processes.
