Job Description l Embedded HW/ Firmware Engineer

Location: DUBAI , UAE / Full time (on-site)/ Compensation: Competitive based on experience

Role Purpose:

A startup in Dubai is growing its deep-tech engineering, design and manufacturing team in Dubai. We are hiring an embedded HW and Firmware engineer to support various products development.

What you will do

• Develop firmware for STM32 devices..

● Read sensors such as IMU, GPS, radar, ultrasonic, and optional CAN.

● Contribute to build/select a computer vision module.

● Develop AI based algorithms for object detection/ lane detection/sensor fusion..etc.

● Select and integrate the Mavlink module.

● Build a telemetry solution.

● Build a stable UART/USB serial packet protocol.

● Debug I2C, UART, GPIO, CAN, and timing issues.

● Bench test the full sensors/controllers stack before system validation.

● Support integration (mechanical and electrical) and testing efforts in the vehicle.

● Generate technical documentation including system specification, test reports, wiring diagrams

What we need

● At least 1 year in Autonomous vehicle domain

● At least 1 year in HW selection and firmware development in automotive or equivalent industry

● At least 1 year of hands-on experience (instrumentation, testing, integration).

● Proficiency with electronic debugging tools: oscilloscopes, CAN analysers..etc.

● Experience in Firmware development for STM32 products.

Qualifications:

● Degree in embedded systems, electrical and electronics engineering or similar.

● At least 2 years of experience in an R&D department or similar environment.

Skills :

● Strong analytical and system level problem solving

● Effective communication within multidisciplinary engineering team
