Embedded Software Engineer
Type:

Compensation:
$95–$130/hour
Location:
Onsite in Redmond
Role Responsibilities
-
Develop firmware to integrate custom image sensors with a microcontroller unit (MCU).
-
Create firmware to interface with hardware acceleration blocks and various sensors like IMU, barometers, and magnetometers.

Design and develop bootloaders and test applications for peripheral interfacing.
-
Test and validate developed firmware with hardware components.
-
Document designs and conduct performance analysis for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Must-Have
-
8+ years experience in firmware or embedded software development in C/C++.
-
2+ years experience developing drivers for camera sensors on new integrated circuits (ICs).
-
2+ years experience with multi-core SoCs or MCUs.
-
Experience with Zephyr OS, Embedded Linux, or other RTOS.
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field.
Preferred
-
Familiarity with MIPI C-PHY, I3C, SPI, UART, USB.

Experience with Embedded Linux and kernel drivers.

Knowledge of file systems and bootloaders on small MCUs and larger SoCs.

Low power optimization of embedded systems.

Strong technical writing skills.
Compensation & Legal

W-2 employment provided through Cincinnatus.

Maximum bill rate of $178.00/hour.
