Embedded Firmware Engineer – Nordic nRF (BLE)

bEarly Technovations is a MedTech startup developing AI-powered wearable medical devices for objective gait and movement analysis. Our products combine embedded electronics, wearable sensors, cloud connectivity, and AI to help clinicians diagnose and monitor neurological and musculoskeletal disorders.


We are looking for an Embedded Firmware Engineer who enjoys building real-world products and taking ownership from prototype to production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop embedded firmware for Nordic nRF52/nRF53-based products.
  • Design, implement, and optimize BLE communication for wearable medical devices.
  • Develop firmware using Embedded C/C++ and the nRF Connect SDK or nRF5 SDK.
  • Interface IMUs, pressure sensors, battery management ICs, and other peripherals.
  • Develop and debug UART, SPI, I²C, GPIO, ADC, PWM, USB, and BLE communication.
  • Perform firmware debugging, hardware bring-up, and system validation.
  • Work closely with hardware, cloud, AI, and application teams to integrate complete products.
  • Support prototype development, field testing, and product deployment.
  • Review schematics and assist in PCB validation and debugging.
  • Prepare technical documentation and support manufacturing activities.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong Embedded C/C++ programming
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Nordic nRF52 or nRF53 series
  • Experience with BLE application development
  • Experience using nRF Connect SDK or nRF5 SDK
  • Strong understanding of UART, SPI, I²C, GPIO, ADC, PWM, and interrupts
  • Experience debugging embedded firmware
  • Familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and serial debugging tools
  • Experience using Git for version control
  • Good understanding of embedded hardware and digital electronics

Preferred Skills

  • Zephyr RTOS or FreeRTOS
  • Battery-powered and low-power embedded system design
  • Sensor fusion and IMU integration
  • PCB bring-up and hardware debugging
  • Basic schematic review and PCB layout understanding
  • Experience with medical devices, wearables, or IoT products

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related discipline.
  • 2–5 years of relevant embedded firmware development experience.
