Job Description

What you will be doing:

Employees in this job function are responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining software applications and products to meet customer needs. They are involved in the entire software development lifecycle including designing software architecture, writing code, testing for quality and deploying the software to meet customer requirements.

The Sync BSP Team is a diverse team responsible for all the lower layers of software to make the hardware work including OS, kernel, drivers and core services such as file systems, graphics, networking, USB and WiFi. We also own critical services such as startup sequence and camera services. We are the glue that makes the system tick and we get involved in many critical investigations. Our team is involved in the full lifecycle of embedded software development for the Sync4 infotainment system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop C/C++ services for Our Client’s infotainment system.
  • Investigate system and BSP failures from internal users and external customers.
  • Participate in system design, documentation, and testing to deliver a best-in-class infotainment system.
  • Collaborate and coordinate work with other teams.

  • C++ coding should be experienced level, not beginner level.

  • Big part of this job involves root causing and trouble shooting system level issues that falls under OS and BSP level.
  • Python - Scripting knowledge is valuable. Mid level is okay.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar scientific field.
  • 5+ years experience working on operating systems, kernel, drivers and core services such as file systems, graphics, networking, USB and WiFi.
  • Prior experience in developing and testing drivers and BSP.
  • Strong grasp of hardware design and embedded operating system concepts.
  • A passion for solving tough problems with little or no information.
  • Familiarity with Agile development processes and tools.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.


Preferred:

  • Jira.
  • Automated Scripting.
  • Acceptance Testing Jira.
  • Basic understanding and working experience using tools like JIRA to track work.
