About The Opportunity
A fast-scaling engineering firm in the Embedded Systems & IoT product development sector, we build mission-critical firmware and low-level software for smart devices, industrial automation, and edge computing hardware. Our embedded engineers work at the intersection of hardware and software — delivering real-time, resource-constrained solutions that power next-gen connected products trusted by global Tier-1 clients.
Role & Responsibilities
-
Design, develop, and debug embedded C/C++ applications for microcontrollers (ARM, AVR, PIC, ESP32) and real-time systems.
-
Develop and maintain device drivers, bootloaders, and communication protocol implementations (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS485) for custom and off-the-shelf hardware.
-
Optimize firmware for memory footprint, power efficiency, and performance—ensuring deterministic execution in resource-constrained environments.
-
Integrate and configure RTOS environments (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ucOS), including task scheduling, interrupt handling, and synchronization mechanisms.
-
Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to validate schematics, debug PCB-level issues, and perform board bring-up and validation.
-
Write and automate unit/integration test scripts, maintain test coverage documentation, and ensure design traceability and long-term maintainability.
Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications
-
2–5 years of professional experience in embedded systems development.
-
Hands-on experience developing Linux device drivers (character, block, or network).
-
Proficiency in embedded C and C++ programming for microcontroller-based systems.
-
Strong understanding of ARM Cortex-M architecture and low-level hardware interaction.
-
Experience working with real-time operating systems (RTOS), including FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or similar.
-
Working knowledge of common embedded communication protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS485.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience with ESP32 (dual-core, Wi-Fi/BLE stack, Arduino IDF, or ESP-IDF).
-
Familiarity with debugging tools such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and JTAG/SWD interfaces.
-
Knowledge of secure boot, firmware updates (OTA), and embedded security best practices.
-
Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines for embedded builds, and automated testing frameworks.
Benefits & Culture Highlights
-
Work on cutting-edge embedded projects with global product teams — no generic maintenance work.
-
Access to hands-on hardware labs, latest development kits, and direct engagement with silicon partners for deep technical learning.
-
Clear career progression paths with both technical ladder and leadership tracks — we grow our engineers, not just projects.
