Electronics & Hardware Engineer (IoT, Edge & UAVs)
About Obraz
Obraz is building production-grade Applied AI systems that solve real-world problems across Defense, Healthcare Imaging, Industrial Vision, and Smart Infrastructure.
We work at the intersection of Computer Vision, infrastructure reliability, and enterprise deployment, helping organizations move from AI experimentation to scalable implementation.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a highly enthusiastic, hands-on Electronics & Hardware Engineer who is a maker at heart.
This role is centered around building real-world hardware systems involving drones, edge computing devices, cameras, and embedded electronics. You'll be responsible for physically assembling, wiring, integrating, testing, and troubleshooting custom hardware stacks that power our AI and Computer Vision deployments.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys spending time at the workbench, building prototypes, solving hardware challenges, and turning ideas into reliable field-ready systems. Whether it's wiring a custom UAV, integrating a camera payload onto a Jetson-powered edge device, or debugging sensor communication issues, you enjoy making things work in the real world.
What You'll Own
-
Building, wiring, testing, and tuning custom drone and UAV platforms
-
Integrating flight controllers, ESCs, motors, power systems, telemetry modules, and payloads
-
Setting up and managing Linux-based edge devices such as NVIDIA Jetson Nano, Jetson Orin, and Raspberry Pi
-
Developing and modifying firmware for ESP32-based systems using C, C++, or Python
-
Integrating sensors and peripherals using I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO, and other communication protocols
-
Wiring, configuring, and troubleshooting CSI, USB, and IP camera systems
-
Building prototype hardware assemblies and custom wire harnesses
-
Performing precision soldering, cable management, and hardware rework when required
-
Diagnosing and resolving hardware, power, communication, and integration issues
-
Supporting the deployment and maintenance of edge AI and Computer Vision systems in real-world environments
-
Collaborating with AI and software teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration
What Makes You a Great Fit
-
0–3 years of experience in Electronics, Embedded Systems, Robotics, UAVs, IoT, or related hardware engineering domains (Freshers with strong hands-on project experience are encouraged to apply)
-
Hands-on experience building, modifying, or maintaining drones, UAVs, robotics, or IoT systems
-
Experience working with flight controllers, ESCs, motors, telemetry systems, and drone payload integration.
-
Strong familiarity with NVIDIA Jetson devices, Raspberry Pi, and Linux-based embedded systems
-
Proficiency in ESP32 development and embedded programming using C, C++, or Python
-
Experience integrating sensors and peripherals through I2C, SPI, UART, and GPIO
-
Practical experience wiring and configuring camera systems for edge devices
-
Excellent soldering, wiring, and hardware assembly skills
-
Comfortable using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools for troubleshooting
-
Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently
-
Attention to detail and commitment to building reliable systems that perform consistently in the field
Who You Are
-
You are deeply passionate about robotics, drones, embedded systems, and hardware engineering.
-
You build things outside of work—whether that's drones, IoT devices, robotics projects, autonomous systems, or custom electronics. You enjoy solving physical engineering problems, experimenting with new hardware, and figuring out why something isn't working until it finally does.
-
You take pride in building systems that are not only functional but reliable enough to operate in real-world environments. You're naturally curious, highly hands-on, and excited by the challenge of turning ideas into working products.
Preferred Qualities
-
Experience with ArduPilot, PX4, MAVLink, or related drone ecosystems
-
Familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System)
-
Experience deploying AI applications on NVIDIA Jetson devices
-
Hands-on experience with 3D printing, CAD software, and rapid prototyping workflows
-
Experience integrating Computer Vision systems with embedded hardware
-
Personal projects involving drones, robotics, IoT systems, or autonomous platforms
-
