Electronics & Firmware Engineer
Munich, Germany
Early-stage deep-tech
Loxynas is building a handheld device based on a photonic biosensor. Our goal is to measure concentration levels of biological substances in fluids with high-precision within minutes directly at the point-of-need.
We are currently assembling the core multi-disciplinary development and commercial team. In this context, we are looking for an entrepreneurial engineer to
take care of the electronics and firmware
building a full device around our sensor.
Your remit:
-
Hardware architecture: Using an existing baseline layout, architect the next-generation mixed-signal PCB for the reader; this includes laser drivers, low-noise photo-detector readouts, interface microfluidic subsystem, power management, MCU integration, and wireless connectivity
-
Embedded firmware: build production-grade firmware encompassing signal acquisition, component control, data handling, and secure transmission
-
Evolution: Drive component selection and layout optimization designing for volume manufacturing
Your background:
-
You have developed and shipped mixed-signal hardware
-
You possess expertise in low-noise sensor front-ends and precision measurement
-
You enjoy working hands-on in a small team in a highly-collaborative environment
-
At least 4 years of work experience
-
Bonus: Experience with laser/optical drive electronics, high-resolution ADC readout, or diagnostic-grade design
What we offer:
-
A core team position with real impact on technology, design, culture, success
-
A challenging, meaningful design-challenge at the intersection of photonics, biochemistry and software
-
Munich base, small multidisciplinary team, fast decisions
