Job Description

akYtec , an international company and a leading developer and manufacturer of industrial automation systems, is looking for an Electronics Engineer responsible for the assembly and debugging of electronic devices and for providing support during testing.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assembly and Prototyping

  • Assemble prototype electronic devices, mock-ups, and prototypes.
  • Perform manual PCB assembly and rework, including fine-pitch SMD components.
  • Assemble and connect test benches, mock-ups, and test setups.

2. Soldering and Repair

  • Perform assembly and repair work using soldering equipment.
  • Replace electronic components, eliminate assembly defects, and modify prototype units.
  • Diagnose and repair faulty PCBs and assemblies.

3. Testing and Debugging

  • Perform functional testing and initial verification of device operation.
  • Measure electrical parameters and troubleshoot faults.
  • Assist in failure analysis and in documenting research or test results.

4. Laboratory Equipment

  • Operate oscilloscopes, multimeters, laboratory power supplies, soldering stations, and other laboratory equipment.
  • Set up, adjust, and modify various test benches and connect devices under test (support).

5. Test Preparation

  • Prepare samples and test benches for internal and external testing.
  • Support testing at third-party laboratories and interact with engineers and testing centers (support).

6. Technical Documentation

  • Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, and assembly documentation.
  • Use engineering documentation during product assembly and testing.

7. Product Development Support

  • Work with design engineers during prototype assembly and debugging.
  • Submit proposals for improving product design, assembly, and testing.

8. Production Support

  • Assist in preparing products for mass production.
  • Assemble pilot batches and support the implementation of manufacturing processes.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience in manual soldering and assembly of electronic components.
  • Experience working with SMD components in various package types.
  • Ability to use electrical measuring equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and assembly documentation.
  • Basic knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
  • Understanding of 4–20 mA and 0–10 V signals.
  • Knowledge of the main types of RTDs and thermocouples.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to solve technical problems independently.
  • Willingness to develop professionally in the field of electronic device development.

Electronics and Interfaces

  • 4–20 mA and 0–10 V analog signals

Software and CAD

  • Altium Designer and/or KiCad (schematic and PCB viewing)
  • SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or KOMPAS-3D (3D model viewing)
  • Terminal software for COM port communication

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, PROFINET, and OPC UA protocols.
  • Experience using Wireshark, Modbus Poll, or similar diagnostic tools.
  • Basic knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded systems.
  • Ability to write simple scripts (e.g. Python) for test automation and log collection.
  • Experience working with Linux systems.
  • Participation in university projects, personal electronics projects, or the development of self-designed electronic devices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field, preferably in:

  • Instrumentation Engineering
  • Industrial Automation
  • Radio Electronics
  • Electrical Engineering
