The ideal candidate will have experience in analog electronics manufacturing, process development, product introduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Process Development & Manufacturing Integration

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
  • Create, maintain, and validate equipment drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accuracy and configuration control.
  • Develop comprehensive manufacturing work instructions and assembly documentation.
  • Integrate products and manufacturing processes into the Thomas Control Systems (TCS) framework.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure successful product launches and production readiness.

Engineering Support

  • Interpret technical specifications, drawings, and design requirements.
  • Develop qualification plans, test procedures, and manufacturing process documentation.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of design iterations, testing results, and qualification activities.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel and assist in resolving production issues.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve design and manufacturing issues using root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality, process efficiency, and manufacturing performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering experience in electronics manufacturing, product development, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong understanding of analog circuit design principles and electronic systems.
  • Experience supporting the transition of products from design to manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with electrical CAD and engineering documentation tools.
  • Experience with process control software. LabVIEW experience a plus.
  • Experience creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs), work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functional teams.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of configuration management and engineering change control processes.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing control systems.
  • Experience in low-volume, high-mix electronic manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing and engineering environment.
  • Occasional lifting of equipment and components up to company-established limits.
  • Ability to travel occasionally between company locations and suppliers as required.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Manufacturing areas may vary in temperature and environmental conditions depending on operational requirements.
  • Exposure to standard manufacturing equipment and processes.
