Role Description The Electronic Engineer is a full-time, on-site role located in Cairo, Egypt, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electronic circuits and systems used in student union projects and initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include creating and reviewing circuit schematics, selecting components, assembling prototypes, and performing testing and troubleshooting to ensure reliability and safety. The role involves collaborating with student teams and other technical members to translate requirements into functional designs, documenting technical specifications, and supporting implementation during events and activities. The Electronic Engineer will also help optimize existing systems, provide guidance on best practices in electronics and electrical engineering, and contribute to continuous improvement of technical standards within the Union.
Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Electronic Engineering and Electrical Engineering, with the ability to apply theoretical concepts to practical projects.
  • Proficiency in Circuit Design and general Electronics, including schematic design, component selection, and prototype development.
  • Experience in Testing electronic systems, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, and verification of performance and safety.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, standards, and datasheets.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary student and staff teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and safety in designs.
  • Familiarity with basic electronic design tools, laboratory equipment, and measurement instruments.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
