We are seeking a motivated, hands-on
Electromechanical & Embedded System Engineer
to join our product engineering team. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer who enjoys building complete systems from electronic circuits and embedded software to mechanical assemblies and instrument integration. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, clinicians, and external partners to develop and refine next-generation medical diagnostic devices.
Responsibilities

Design, prototype, assemble, and test electromechanical device prototypes and subsystems.

Design and troubleshoot analog and digital electronic circuits, PCB assemblies, and embedded hardware.

Develop and debug embedded software and firmware using C/C++.

Develop software tools, automation scripts, and data analysis applications using Python.

Support PCB schematic design, layout review, component selection, and hardware integration.

Design mechanical components, fixtures, enclosures, and assemblies using SolidWorks or similar CAD software.

Integrate and troubleshoot sensors, optical components, motors, pumps, valves, cameras, and other electromechanical subsystems.

Perform experimental testing, collect and analyze data, and drive iterative design improvements.

Assist with system integration, verification, validation, and reliability testing.

Collaborate closely with firmware, software, mechanical, optical, and microfluidics engineers to develop robust product solutions.

Contribute to engineering documentation, risk analysis (FMEA), and product development activities.
Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

1–3 years of relevant industry, internship, or hands-on engineering experience.

Strong hands-on experience building and troubleshooting electronic circuits and embedded hardware.

Experience with microcontrollers or embedded processors.

Programming experience in Python and C/C++.

Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) for mechanical design and prototyping.

Familiarity with PCB schematics, layout, component selection, and functional testing.

Ability to troubleshoot integrated electromechanical systems in a laboratory environment.

Experience with experimental design, data analysis, and iterative engineering development.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Highly motivated, self-directed, and eager to learn in a fast-paced startup environment.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience developing embedded firmware for microcontrollers or embedded Linux platforms.

Experience with PCB design software such as Altium Designer or KiCad.

Experience with communication protocols such as SPI, I²C, UART, USB, or CAN.

Experience with Qt, Python GUI development, or software automation.

Experience with medical devices, diagnostic instrumentation, optical systems, or biosensors.

Experience integrating cameras, sensors, motors, pumps, or other precision electromechanical systems.

Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Test (DFT).
