Electrical and Electronics Engineer

PROYAPI is seeking an Electrical and Electronics Engineer with up to two years of professional experience to join its Head Office in Ankara.

The successful candidate will support the design, review and technical assessment of electrical and electromechanical systems for transportation, infrastructure and building projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering,
• New graduate or having up to two years of relevant professional experience,
• Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English,
• Willingness and ability to undertake short-term domestic and international business travel when required,
• Familiarity with computer-aided engineering and design software,
• Membership in the Chamber of Electrical Engineers of Türkiye (EMO), or eligibility to become a member,
• Willingness to learn, develop professionally and acquire the technical knowledge required for the position,
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication and technical reporting skills,
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary project team.

• Supporting the review and assessment of electrical, electromechanical and lighting system designs for roads, bridges, tunnels, railways, metro systems, stations, buildings and other infrastructure facilities,
• Preparing single-line diagrams and carrying out the associated electrical calculations using computer-aided engineering software,
• Performing calculations related to high-voltage, medium-voltage and low-voltage power supply and distribution systems,
• Supporting the preliminary and detailed design of primary and backup power supply systems, including generators and uninterruptible power supply systems,
• Identifying appropriate products, equipment, systems and connection arrangements in accordance with project requirements,
• Performing voltage-drop calculations and determining the required cable types, cross-sectional areas and quantities on a project-specific basis,
• Reviewing and checking the designs of electrical distribution, control and automation panels and carrying out the associated electrical calculations,
• Preparing technical calculation reports, design justifications, engineering assessments and recommendations regarding project-specific technical matters,
• Preparing electrical design drawings using computer-aided engineering and design software,
• Reviewing drawings and technical documents prepared by other project team members, consultants, contractors or third parties,
• Supporting the preparation of technical specifications, design reports, bills of quantities and other project documentation,
• Coordinating with civil, structural, mechanical, architectural and other engineering disciplines throughout the design and review processes,
• Ensuring that designs, calculations and technical documents comply with applicable national and international standards, project specifications and employer requirements.
